HTC's new flagship phone, "HTC A9" might as well be called iPhone 6.
Though running on Android, it's a "copy and reapply" version of the iPhone 6.
HTC's CEO said the company was "not copying" the iPhone. That it was Apple who copied its antenna design.
The question is, was this done on purpose to attract attention to the company?
HTC's last month announced losses of about $160million in a single quarter..
In an attempt to solve the problem, the company's CFO said they are working on a "fashionable and trendy phone."

And the result is perhaps HTC A9. A phone that is a' clone' of the iPhone 6.
By doing this, a strategy Samsung is notorious for, got them more press coverage.
This strategy has been Samsung's playbook since the iPhone launched in 2007. And it worked all the time.
This strategy of "copy and reapply" helped Samsung Galaxy brand grow, eventually surpassing other phone makers on the android platform, even with less innovation.

Apple has on many occasions, instituted law suits against Samsung that they always won.
.
This move creates drama, court cases, media wrangling, and consumer chatter, which clearly helps in marketing the device faster.
.
Knowing Apple's reputation for aggression, will apple sue, or will HTC walk free?
