Bill Gates’ 15-year-old daughter, Jennifer Gates, was spotted this week in Australia carrying an Apple iPhone, despite Chairman Dad’s household ban on iProducts.
The teenager was photographed clutching what looks suspiciously like an Apple iPhone during a hike in Sydney, Australia, earlier this week.
The news will come as a shock to the billionaire computer tycoon, who only permits his three children to use Microsoft equivalents such as the Zune music player.
Jennifer was caught out while she hiked with her mother Melinda along the Bondi to Bronte Beach coastal walk on Wednesday.
Rivalry between Microsoft and Apple is notoriously fierce and has become particularly competitive in recent years as the pair fight it out for dominance of the electronics market. In April, it was revealed that Microsoft’s quarterly profits and revenues had been eclipsed for the first time in 20 years by Apple.
It was reported that Bill Gates’ empire had fallen behind Steve Jobs’s company as a slowdown in the PC business and continuing losses in its search division held it back.
It was seen as a key moment in the industry, due in part to the rise of Apple’s iPad tablet computer and its iPhone smartphone.
Why not? It’s not like Windows phones are really going to have the traction Apple does.
Why can’t she just drive cars at excessive speeds like her dad did when he was young? that’s better than carrying an iPhone.
It will not be a surprise to know that the automatic moisture and temperature sensing window opening & closing system in Gates house was driven by apple technology, he might also have a MacBook Pro in his briefcase.
